How hard is it to find airport parking on July 4th weekend?

It is probably pretty hard as everyone is going away that weekend. I would stick with a car service so you don’t have to worry about parking or driving, pleased travels.
The other option is to go with off airport parking they allow you to reserve your space online ahead of time. I like http://www.pnf.com they have a network of lots that cover most major cities. Plus they pick you up at your car and help load it on the shuttle.
